Overview
MaestroGrade provides tools for quiz creation, answer-sheet scanning, grading, reporting, and student progress visibility. We collect only the information needed to operate, secure, support, and improve those services.
Privacy Lead
MaestroGrade's privacy contact for inquiries and requests is hello@maestrograde.com.
Information We Collect
- Contact details such as name, email address, and school or organization details.
- Account and onboarding information created during product setup.
- Student roster, assessment, and reporting records provided by schools using the platform.
- Usage information such as pages visited, device or browser data, and core service events.
- Uploaded learning materials, answer sheets, and similar school-provided content.
How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain MaestroGrade services.
- To respond to waitlist requests, support questions, and product inquiries.
- To improve product reliability, security, and user experience.
- To communicate important service, rollout, billing, or policy updates.
- To comply with legal obligations and documented school requirements.
Controller and Processor Roles
MaestroGrade acts as the controller for waitlist signups, support requests, and billing operations. For school-managed student and classroom records inside the product, the school or education organization acts as the primary controller, while MaestroGrade operates the platform as a processor on the school's behalf.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate MaestroGrade, such as hosting, database infrastructure, communications, payment processing, and consented analytics. These providers are expected to handle data only for legitimate service purposes.
Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security records. School-managed academic records may be retained longer where schools need an archive window or where law requires preservation.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, authenticated access controls, and organization-scoped data access rules. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and protect user data responsibly.
Your Choices and Privacy Requests
You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, objection, or export of personal information where applicable. Privacy requests are reviewed through our internal intake workflow and may involve the relevant school where the request relates to school-managed records. We aim to acknowledge privacy requests within 3 business days and provide a substantive response within 15 business days, unless more time is needed for verification or school coordination.
Children and School Use
If MaestroGrade is used in classroom or school settings, schools and teachers may determine what student data is submitted to the platform. We expect school users to use MaestroGrade in line with their own policies and legal obligations, including any parent or guardian consent requirements that apply to student data.
Cookies and Analytics
Essential cookies are used to keep sessions secure and remember core preferences. Non-essential analytics cookies are used only after consent on the public website and teacher dashboard. MaestroGrade currently uses Google Analytics for those consent-based analytics flows.
